    Stolen from @Light_Blue_Fables

    1. What is something you did in 2012 that you’d never done before?
I had never had the lead in a local theatre's play before, but I had been in plays so I'm not sure that counts. I've also written a letter to a soldier, though I've not yet had the chance to mail it.

    2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I made seven resolutions ranging from fitness, work, and social life... I managed to keep one, possibly two, but the rest I totally failed at. I'll try again this year!

    3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yep, one of my friends had a baby girl, and another had a boy.

    4. Did anyone close to you die?
    Thankfully, no.

    5. What countries did you visit?
A lot... in books. In real life, not a one.

    6. What would you like to have in 2013 that you lacked in 2012?
I want enough funds (and courage) to travel as well as get my own apartment. Plus I think I'm finally ready for a relationship, too.

    7. What dates from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory and why?
I think I have been giving off a "No, I won't go out with you" vibe *shakes head sadly* I had a lot of fun going out with the cast and crew of the play though, it helped us bond and we pulled off a really great run.  As for days, Laur's wedding, the run of the show, and my birthday :)

    8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I got a lead in "Earnest", I've edited some pretty wonderful books, and I finally got a friggen job.

    9. What was your biggest failure?
I tend to allow my faith to take a backseat a lot, not putting it into practice as much as I should. I also didn't really put myself "out there" in the dating scene.

    10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I'm still getting migraines, but I think this was actually a fairly healthy year for me.

    11. What was the best thing you bought?
    Totally my Kobo Touch.

    12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
The cast and crew of "Ernest" as they all did a fantastic job!

    13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My own, cuz I'm such a chicken. My mother's occasional bouts of selfishness and insecurity. The world's terrorists, criminals, killers, etc.

    14. Where did most of your money go?
Aside from living expenses, into my bank account or towards christmas gifts.

    15. What did you really, really, really get excited about?
Being in the play, getting a job, getting Drew Seeley's autograph.

    16. What song will always remind you of 2012?
"Call me Maybe"... it was a common occurrence both in the GTA and in the Bville

    17. Compared to this time last year are you:
Happier? In a way. I didn't have many friends in the GTA, no job, and worried about funds. Now I've got a job, friends, and savings.
Thinner? I wish. I've been steadily gaining weight and that has to reverse asap.
Richer? Yep, jobs tend to bring in money... though it isn't much.

    18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
    Traveling, dating, exercising, etc.

    19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Being solitary and eating way too much chocolate.

    20. How did you spend Christmas?
See my post, "Stash and Bash".

    21. How will you be spending New Years?
No idea, but chances are I'll be reading a book or watching a movie.

    22. Did you fall in love in 2012?
No, but I really wish I had.

    23. How many sexual partners?
Zero, as always until I'm married.

    24. What was your favourite TV program?
I just started getting into Big Bang Theory. Luvluvluv!

    25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
    I don't think so.

    26. What was the best book you read?
See my coming post about the books I've read this year (Dec 31st).

    27. What was your biggest musical discovery?
Anthem Lights, one of their new songs was chosen by someone being baptized earlier this month and it is so moving.

    28. What did you want and you got?
A job, an ereader, new friends.

    29. What did you want and not get?
A relationship, my own home, a full-time job.

    30. What was your favourite film of this year?
The Lucky One, though Les Mis and Breaking Dawn 2 will probably be in there once I see them.

    31. What did you do on your birthday?
Dinner with the parents, then going over to Sunnie and Greg's for a games night.

    32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I had lost 10 pounds, had a boyfriend, and been to Ireland.

    33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?
Same as usual: hand-me-downs because I rarely find anything I like shopping... though tunic sweaters over leggings featured prominently.

    34. What kept you sane?
    Books always do the trick.

    35. Which celebrity did you fancy the most?
Ryan Gosling, Drew Seely, and a rather scruffy Zac Effron.

    36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I don't pay attention to politics, but I did notice the kaffuffle over the new Bill that affects teachers.

    37. Who did you miss?
Karo, Brett and Laur from GTA after I moved. I think I'll eventually move back, but Karo won't be there anymore *cries*

    38. Who was the best new person you met?
Algy and Jon from the play, Sheedo from a party, Cassie from work.

    39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2012:
Nothing will happen if you don't make an effort.

    40. Quote or Song Lyric that sums up your year:
    "Unwritten" Natasha Bedingfield
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
    The rest is still unwritten

Oh and I think the "dates" in question number 7 refers to calendar dates. Like special events that happened in 2012. At least that's what it sounds like to me and how I'm going to answer it lol.
